Our Client is a professional services company based in Australia. Listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, the Australian engineering company provides project delivery and consulting services to the resources and energy sectors, and complex process industries.

About Role
Provide discipline specific design and drafting services to our client, including technical support and supervision both within the
discipline and to other disciplines. If required, manage and lead a small discipline team.

Key Criteria
  • Highly effective technical and practical design and drafting skills in the relevant discipline, and able to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work.
  • Competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and highly competent in the use of design software.

Manage/Supervisor
  • Understands how the business delivers value to shareholders, what drives profitability and what increases growth.
  • Able to make difficult decisions and lead and manage others in changing business conditions.
  • Excellent people management skills such as leadership, team, interpersonal, coaching, mentoring and supervisory skills. Must be able to build, motivate, develop and manage an effective team.
  • Excellent management skills including the ability to plan, set goals; and manage time, priorities, resources, accountability, schedules and cost.
  • Understands our clients Vision and purpose, translates it into team goals and objectives, and gains team commitment to achieving those goals and objectives.
  • Effectively manages and resolves conflict between individuals and/or groups.
  • Negotiates successful outcomes that achieve the required objectives and have the support and acceptance of all parties.

Experience:
Substantial design and drafting experience in the relevant discipline in the same or similar industry, including experience in multi-disciplinary project and terms.

Qualification:
Preferred: A recognised design qualification in the relevant discipline or equivalent.
