About the Role
A senior position for an engineering professional to take the lead as the Principal Asset Management Engineer (Buildings). This role will see you manage a large portfolio of operational buildings being used by large volumes of the general public throughout the state of Western Australia. Perth based role.

This role will see you;
• Prepare and monitor the Asset Management Plans, ensuring planning requirements are incorporated into the capital investment processes and budget processes.
• Implement compliance changes to standards, specifications, practices and regulatory requirements
• Work with suppliers and consultants to develop Inspection and Test plans to ensure the delivery of projects meets the requirement of Asset Management Plans.
• Actively promote a strong safety culture through continuous engagement with all stakeholders, reviews procedures and involves in safety meetings, job planning, and risk assessments.
• Provides technical specialist advice, direction and support
• Responsible for the preparation and checking of designs, and testing and commissioning and the management of drawings and documents to as built', upgrade' and current' states.
• Manages the development and implementation of works to monitor quality and quantity of all work undertaken by contractors
• Manage a small team of engineers

Key Criteria
As the successful candidate for the role of Manager Assets, you will meet the following criteria;
• Engineering degree qualified
• Strong experience in building services systems design, commissioning and maintenance, in particular focus on asset management, life cycle and asset reliability.
• Providing engineering expertise and knowledge in asset maintenance or replacement; the planning, design and delivery of maintenance and/or construction works in an operational asset intensive environment.
• Demonstrated experience in managing the performance of an operational team and financial/physical resources in the achievement of agreed outcomes and providing a customer focused service.
• Outstanding communication skills and willingness to get amongst all facets of the team and projects to ensure a seamless line of communication, safety and direction.
