About the Role
We are currently seeking a Site QC Coordinator to ensure construction quality control for Civil, Mechanical, Structural and other discipline activities are implemented as per contractual requirements.

Main responsibilities:
• Review of contract terms and specifications to ensure clear understanding of technical requirements and prerequisite verification and certification requirements;
• Identifying and implementing quality indoctrination and training requirements to ensure Site personnel have sufficient understanding of the requirements of the project and procedures to achieve project objectives;
• Undertake surveillance to ensure conformance with agreed practices, ensure that collation of project quality records and preparation quality data required for submission of Manufactures Data Reports;
• Performing scheduled assessment of Contractor activities and Lower Tier Subcontractors against their approved Quality Plan, Procedures and ITPs based on their work scope;
• Taking the lead role in issuance of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), following any issued NCRs to closure;
• Facilitate closure of non-conformances and audit actions in a timely manner;
• Liaise with the Contractor Quality representative/s to identify and address potential quality related project risks;
• Preparing a monthly report to management summarizing site quality activities, concerns, and project quality statistics for the period;
• Verifying that project quality objectives are met;
• Verify and validate that construction Quality Control for Civil, Mechanical, Structural, Piping and other discipline activities are maintained in conformance with project specifications and contractual requirements;
• Assist with review of Contractor quality plans, procedures and ITP's;
• Monitor Contractor quality, coordinate non-conformance disposition in conjunction with relevant site Engineers or Package Engineers;
• If directed, carry out inspections / quality activities at the Suppliers premises and completing document quality surveillance of the Supplier's work in accordance with the requirements of the Project Plans, approved ITPs, and Procedures;
• Be the EPCM site contact for Construction Quality Control matters and provide timely responses to Contractor quality queries;
• Perform any other duties that are reasonably required from time to time (including off site support / visits as required);
• Support the global quality learning community initiative to enable quality professionals to communicate with each other and receive updates on latest developments;
• Support in-house education, promotion and awareness programs relating to sound quality management practice and WorleyParsons quality strategies;
• Support the implementation of new Company processes;
• Determine areas of potential improvement in quality management processes and in consultation with the Quality Manager facilitate the implementation of improvements to address these areas;
• Support the effective management of customer quality management requirements and concerns regarding performance;
• Assist the Quality Manager / Construction Manager to recruit, induct Inspectors;
• Provide quality support and coaching for field inspection personnel;

Key Criteria
• Candidates for Rail need to have Earthworks and Tracklaying experience;
• We are looking for people with Coordination experience, not just inspectors. Inspections is a small part of this role, the candidate will be responsible for making sure contractors are complying with what needs to be done;
• SMP experience also preferred but not essential;
• Relevant mine experience and typically minimum 10 years project experience in Quality Control;
• Tertiary / trade qualifications in a related discipline;
• Valid Australian Car Licence;
• Thorough understanding of the principles and practice of site quality management;
• Strong coordination skills;
• Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining quality management systems;
• Project site experience and exposure across the mining and minerals industry;
• Experience in reviewing Earthworks / Civil / SMP quality documentation;
• Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel knowledge;
• Team player with developing communication skills both verbally and written;
• Ability to co ordinate all activities to meet requirements in a timely fashion.
