- Core and network design and implementation for use in mine site LTE networks
- Expertise in evolved packet cores - Nokia experience and certification would be highly regarded
- Practical experience in MPLS-VPN, MP-BGP and MPLS-TE technologies
- Multi-system skills and experience in the design and deployment of mine site village entertainment systems
- GPON and WDM active component design and deployment
- MATV systems
- Bandwidth management systems
- Wi-Fi controllers and access points
- RuggedCom or Moxa experience
In addition to one (or both) sets of these specialist skills, you will need more general practical experience in IP networking and engineering, namely:
- IP Layer 2 and Layer 3 network design
- Liaison with stakeholders and project team members to gather the requirements of the IP network solution.
- Development of Detailed Design documentation & Drawings
- Development of Factory Acceptance (FAT) and Site Acceptance (SAT) test documentation and participation in their execution
- Configuration of IP routing and switching equipment
- Liaison with subject matter experts during the transition of production services (implementation & cutover planning, documentation and execution)
- Technical liaison with equipment manufacturers
- Integration of multi-vendor and multi-technology solutions
- Proficiency in IGP routing protocols (e.g OSPF, IS-IS, EIGRP, RIP) theories, and rich practical experience on IGP design and implementation
- Comprehensive experience with network capacity optimization including routing optimization, routing convergence, traffic planning, and network redundancy
- Practical experience in translating IP solution and associated design documents to configuration on the IP routers and switches
- Good knowledge and strong background in IP technologies, Data Communication, LAN, WAN, MPLS and VPN services
- Practical experience on Nokia/Alcatel Lucent, CISCO/Juniper and/or Huawei network equipment is preferred
