About the Role:

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to work for a global renewable energy development company in their Project Finance team to provide legal advice for a pipeline of new grid scale solar farm development in Australia.
Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal support to the team and providing support on larger projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with and having a general understanding of project finance and financial close processes
• Negotiating and drafting all project documents and corporate transaction documents
• Liaising closely with external law firms, regulators, Government, finance and industry stakeholders, customers, counterparts and other colleagues
• Develop and update policy and procedures

Key Criteria:

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience and criteria:
• Degree Qualified in Law; licensed to practice law in Commonwealth Countries, preferably Australia
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Previous M&A experience
• Ability to managing competing priorities and implement good time management techniques

Desired:

• Previous exposure or knowledge of the renewable energy sector
