Located in Ayr (Queensland) we operate adjacent to the pristine waters of the Great Barrier Reef marine park, with a diverse team of experienced and dedicated specialists committed to producing premium black tiger prawns for the Australian market.

ECOAA are seeking individuals who share a passion for safe, ethical and innovative aquaculture practices and a move towards a more environmentally sustainable world.

About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Algae Technician to join the Grow-Out team of this growing, innovative Aquaculture business in Queensland. You will be tasked with ensuring production goals are achieved through several daily activities including:
• Analysis and troubleshooting of any problems that arise
• Daily inspection and routine husbandry activities
• Maintenance of all macroalgae husbandry
• Ensuring compliance of all HSE and quality processes
• Liaising between departments and teams to ensure smooth operations across the facility
• Reporting of daily activities
• Reporting all incidents and hazards, including biological or infrastructure-related concerns

Key Criteria:
• Diploma or equivalent tertiary qualification in Aquaculture, Marine Biology or Environmental Sciences
• Min. 2 years Aquaculture experience
• Proven experience working with algae
• Ability to work and communicate with diverse teams
• Forklift ticket
• Manual Driver's license
