About the Role:

We are seeking a Corporate Affairs Analyst Advisor to assist on a 3-6 month contract for an EPC company specialising in the oil & gas, chemicals, power and mining and minerals sectors. This role can be based at any of our client's offices on Australia's East Coast with work from home options available.

The purpose of this role is to enable executive leadership and key global teams to focus on strategic opportunities and risks through the provision of informed intelligence on market activities and trends.

You will be responsible for detailed data analysis, curated media reporting, research and presentations which inform strategic decision-making and management of risk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Management and continual development of media analysis and reporting across the business
• Translate media coverage of the business, and its competitors, customers and operational content into succinct business insights
• Conduct in-depth research and provide briefings from time to time on topics of importance to the companies' functions
• Promote the use of media analytics to inform the work of key functions EG Growth, Marketing
• Focal point and super user of Meltwater platform for media analytics - provide leadership, coaching and interpretation to other users
• Provision of quarterly media analysis to track and inform the business' external communications and media activities
• Immediate, daily, weekly and ad hoc delivery of various curated media reports and searches, plus corresponding insights and relevant analysis to decision-makers globally
• Manage the company's media and copyright subscriptions/licences
• Co-ordinate appropriate coverage for Copyright obligations
Key Criteria:
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience and criteria:
• Demonstrated experience of the following:
• Media monitoring platform e.g. Meltwater
• MS Office 365 suite
• Analytics programs e.g. Power BI
• Experience with website and database management / design
• Able to work on multiple projects of various size and complexity and prioritise tasks.
• High level of proficiency and expertise in media monitoring principles and theory required to analyse and develop various monitoring and dissemination systems and procedures.
• Able to work on multiple projects of various size and complexity and prioritise tasks.
• Integrity and confidentiality when conducting research for restricted audiences or executive level management
• Self-disciplined and motivated to produce daily deliverables and keep after-hours watch on imminent or evolving issues.
