Project Engineer Renewable Energy (Solar PV)
This Perth-based opportunity offers the chance to join a growing renewable energy organisation delivering sustainable energy solutions across Australia.
Focused on commercial solar PV, hybrid systems, and low-emission infrastructure, the business is driving projects that support industrial operations and long-term sustainability outcomes.
Role Opportunity
We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of commercial solar PV projects across Western Australia and nationally.
Working alongside Project Managers, you will assist with coordinating EPC activities, managing contractors, supporting grid connection, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
• 35+ years' experience in project engineering or project delivery (solar, renewables, or power)
• Experience supporting commercial solar PV projects
• Exposure to EPC contractors and multidisciplinary teams
• Understanding of scheduling, budgeting, and project controls
• Knowledge of solar PV systems and grid connection processes
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
• Ability to interpret technical and contractual documentation
• Current Australian driver's licence
Desirable Experience
• Hybrid energy systems (solar + battery storage)
• Projects in the 30kW1MW range
• Western Australian project experience
• Knowledge of Australian Standards, AEMO, and NSP processes
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• SAA PV accreditation or project management training
Duties & Responsibilities
• Support delivery of solar projects from development to commissioning
• Assist with schedules, budgets, procurement, and resource coordination
• Coordinate EPC activities and contractor performance
• Provide technical support across solar PV and balance of plant
• Support grid connection, testing, and commissioning activities
• Maintain project documentation, reporting, and cost tracking
• Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and quality standards
