About the Role
Our client, a leading player in the exploration and drilling industry, is on the lookout for an experienced QHSE professional to join their team as a QHSE Manager. This role will suit an experienced QHSE Advisor or Coordinator who is seeking the opportunity for career progression, and feels they are ready for the next step in their career!

As the QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality, health, safety, and environmental across their exploration and drilling operations, ensuring effective implementation of strategies and systems in place, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the QHSE management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.
• Lead QHSE audits and inspections, both internally and externally.
• Conduct incident investigations, including thorough root cause analysis, and develop action plans to prevent recurrence.
• Perform risk assessments and hazard identification, and implement strategies to mitigate and manage risks effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and update QHSE policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Provide training and support to employees to ensure their awareness of and adherence to QHSE standards.
• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, best practices, and emerging trends to keep our client at the forefront of QHSE excellence.
• Maintain and report on QHSE performance metrics, and provide regular reports to senior management.

Key Criteria

• Tertiary Qualifications in HSE Management
• QHSE Lead Auditor
• Minimum 3 years' experience within Exploration and Drilling industry
• Strong knowledge and experience within AS/NZS ISO 140001 and ISO 9001.
• Strong understanding of Health and Safety and Workers Compensation legislation.
