SAP Writer
This FIFO opportunity offers the chance to support a major operational readiness program for a large-scale mining project, ensuring maintenance and operational teams are fully prepared to utilise SAP PM/EAM systems effectively from Day 1 operations.

Working across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Project Readiness functions, you will play a key role in developing SAP-aligned documentation, procedures and training materials that support asset management, maintenance execution and operational readiness activities.

Role Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced SAP Writer to support the delivery of operational readiness objectives across a major mining project.
This is a 12-month contract role offered on an 8:6 FIFO roster, working 12-hour days, with an hourly rate of $120$130 per hour inclusive of superannuation.

The role will focus on developing clear, accurate and user-friendly SAP PM/EAM documentation, ensuring maintenance and operational processes are effectively documented, aligned to SAP workflows and ready for workforce adoption.

You will work closely with maintenance planners, engineers, project teams, operational readiness specialists and subject matter experts to develop procedures, work instructions and training materials that support safe, reliable and efficient operations.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
• Proven experience developing SAP PM/EAM documentation and work instructions
• Strong technical writing background within mining, resources, heavy industry or major projects
• Experience producing maintenance and operational procedures, SOPs and process documentation
• Strong understanding of SAP maintenance processes, workflows and terminology
• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear and structured documentation
• Experience engaging with maintenance, operations, engineering and project stakeholders
• Strong document control, governance and version management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to documentation quality standards
• Australian working rights

Desirable Experience
• Operational readiness, business readiness or commissioning project experience
• Experience supporting major mining or brownfield/greenfield project deliveries
• Understanding of maintenance planning and asset management principles
• Exposure to SAP asset master data including equipment records, BOMs, task lists and maintenance plans
• Experience developing training materials and end-user guides
• Familiarity with maintenance strategies, shutdown planning and asset care processes
• Experience participating in site walkdowns, workshops and process validation activities
• FIFO project experience within the resources sector

Duties & Responsibilities
• Develop SAP PM/EAM work instructions for notifications, work orders, task lists, BOMs and maintenance plans
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures, business process documentation and user guides
• Translate engineering, maintenance and vendor information into SAP-aligned documentation
• Ensure documentation complies with project governance requirements and quality standards
• Document preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and shutdown workflows
• Work closely with maintenance planners to align procedures with SAP master data and maintenance strategies
• Develop training materials to support end users, supervisors and planners
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering and readiness teams to gather process information
• Participate in workshops, reviews and site walkdowns to validate documentation accuracy
• Ensure alignment between operational requirements, SAP processes and commissioning deliverables
• Maintain document accuracy, consistency and version control across all SAP-related materials
• Support operational readiness milestones and asset handover requirements
• Verify procedures accurately reflect operational workflows, safety requirements and asset configurations
• Identify documentation gaps and drive completion of readiness deliverables
• Provide regular updates on documentation progress, risks and completion status
