Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
- Mining or heavy industry design experience
- Strong LV and MV distribution knowledge
- Earthing and grounding design capability
- Australian Standards and safety knowledge
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering design for mining and resources projects across concept, study and detailed design phases
- Prepare and review key design deliverables including single line diagrams, schematics, earthing studies, earthing layouts, technical reports, design calculations and commissioning documentation
- Provide technical expertise across LV/MV distribution, power systems and earthing/grounding design
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, structural, controls and project management teams to achieve integrated project outcomes
- Participate in design reviews, HAZIDs, HAZOPs, client workshops and technical risk assessments
- Support project delivery through scope development, cost and schedule inputs, and quality assurance
- Mentor and guide junior and intermediate engineers across technical delivery activities
