Looking for an experienced Contracts Lead/Manager to join an EPCM mining client overseeing 2 projects in DFS and execution phases. In this position you will lead a small team of professionals, overseeing all contractual aspects to ensure the efficient execution of contracts, adherence to project timelines, and the successful delivery of key objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation to execution and closeout.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments on contracts, identifying potential issues and implementing strategies to mitigate risks.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small team of contracts professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, legal teams, and project managers.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on contract status, issues, and resolutions to project leadership and other relevant stakeholders.
Key Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Contracts Lead/Manager, with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong understanding of NPI processes in the mining industry.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to guide and motivate a small team.
- In-depth knowledge of contract law and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools for contract management.
- Willingness to jump on the tools and complete work as needed
