About the Role

Join an established team as a Senior Manager on a FIFO journey as an Environmental Superintendent, supervising Mine, Port, and Rail operations. Take charge of a dynamic team and drive compliance with the company's environmental goals. Your mission? To guarantee that all stakeholders embrace and succeed at their environmental obligations, establishing an excellence culture throughout the organisation.

Key Criteria

As the successful candidate for the role of Environmental Superintendent, you will meet the following criteria:

• Shape the strategic direction of the company by offering insights and guidance while ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and permitting requirements.
• Analyse regulations, standards, and agreements, providing expert advice and devising risk management strategies.
• Foster environmental consciousness and leadership among site-based personnel, championing best practices and offering guidance.
• Facilitate the acquisition of environmental approvals by furnishing necessary information. Oversee the implementation and administration of the Environmental Management System, coordinating environmental monitoring efforts.
• Lead and mentor the environment team and contractors, instilling alignment with company values.
• Provide ongoing support, guidance, and training opportunities to foster team development and enhance performance.
• Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field, substantial supervisory experience, and a deep understanding of Western Australian environmental legislation and frameworks.
• Experience in conducting environmental audits, inspections, and investigations is essential, with formal qualifications in auditing and investigation highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of Western Australian environmental legislation and framework - in particular, EP Act, EPBC Act and Mining Act.
• Substantial experience in undertaking environmental audits, inspections, and investigations, with formal audit and investigation qualifications highly desirable.
