About the Role
Our client is currently seeking a HSE Manager to join their team here in Perth to play an instrumental role in the planning and execution of an exciting major project here in Western Australia. The HSE Manager will be responsible for the design and implementation of Health and Safety management plans and associated supporting systems, driving best practice standards within HSE, overseeing risk management and providing leadership to the HSE team.

The HSE Manager will be responsible for the design and implementation of Health and Safety management plans and associated supporting systems, driving best practice standards within HSE, overseeing risk management and providing leadership to the HSE team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement health & safety management systems , ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards and best practices.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and developing strategies to mitigate risk.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness through the development and delivery of safety training.
- Lead investigations into incidents and accidents, analyzing root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct regular audits to identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement within the HSE function
Key Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications within WHS Management
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Health & Safety positions within the Resources sector
- Extensive understanding of WHS legislation, Codes of Practices policies and best practice within the industry
- Previous experience in managing/leading a major construction project within WA's Mining industry.
