About the Role:
Our client is in search of a dynamic Principal Control Systems Engineer to spearhead and actively participate in the advancement of control system design and implementation.
Responsibilities:
Develop control system design and implementation deliverables.
Lead project studies, concept designs, and proactive participation in HAZOPs and Risk Assessments.
Deliver complex control system designs on industrial projects.
PLC and HMI development and testing.
Interface with vendors, attend factory acceptance testing and conduct vendor integration testing.
Some ad-hoc on-site commissioning (various locations).
Promote Safety in the Design of control system projects.
Key Criteria:
Engineering degree with experience in control system design and execution projects.
Proficiency in ABB 800xA DCS required; other systems considered.
Autonomy and successful delivery of control system projects in the mining industry.
Desire for personal development, attention to detail, and focus on quality and performance.
Experience in materials handling and commissioning is required.
Citect SCADA, Wonderware experience ideal.
Multidisciplinary design interface experience (especially electrical and mechanical).
