We're seeking a Senior Cost Controller to join an EPCM client of ours on a Sodium Cyanide Expansion Project located in Kwinana. In this role you will:
- Develop and maintain tailored cost control processes for the Sodium Cyanide Expansion project.
- Monitor project expenditures to align with approved budgets and forecasts.
- Analyse cost trends, providing insights for informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to refine project budgets.
- Update and manage precise cost forecasts throughout the project.
- Assess the impact of scope changes on project costs and communicate findings.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and prepare financial reports.
- Ensure financial data accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Maintain accurate records of contract commitments.
- Perform periodic cost audits to identify and mitigate risks.
Key Criteria
- A strong dedication to safety and adherence to safe work practices.
- Extensive hands-on experience in project cost control, particularly within major capital projects.
- A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline, providing you with the foundational knowledge necessary for success in this Proficiency with cost control software and financial management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
