Role Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cost Controller or Senior Cost Controller to join on a 12+ month contract. You will be working in an integrated EPCM-client environment collaborating closely with Project Controls professionals. This position offers the chance to work on a high-profile resources project, leveraging your technical skills in cost systems and data analysis (with exposure to Power BI highly regarded), while further developing your experience within a collaborative and complex project delivery environment.

• Proven experience controlling project costs in mining, resources, or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of budget allocation, WBS, SOW, cost reporting, and change control.
• Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Skilled in financial reporting and data analysis; ability to present complex information clearly.
• Proficient in MS Excel and cost systems (SAP/Oracle); Power BI experience is desirable.
• Strong communicator with experience working in integrated EPCM-client project teams.
• Highly organised, adaptable, and solutions focused.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Monitor and control project costs, ensuring alignment with budgets, forecasts, and contractual requirements.
• Prepare, review, and maintain cost reports, forecasts, and dashboards for project and management teams.
• Track commitments, accruals, variations, and actual costs across project packages.
• Support Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and analysis to measure project performance.
• Assist in budget development, allocation, and changing management processes.
• Provide cost data and analysis to project managers, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
• Contribute to monthly reporting cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with EPCM partners, contractors, and client representatives in an integrated team environment.
• Ensure compliance with cost control frameworks, corporate governance, and financial procedures.
• Support process improvements in cost control systems and reporting tools (including Power BI where applicable).
