Job description

About the Role:
We're seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Package Engineer for our Client's team, providing essential engineering services for hydrocarbons, energy, and chemicals industries.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver discipline-specific engineering services in compliance with client and relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review package deliverables such as datasheets, specifications, scope of supply, document/data requirement lists, technical bid evaluations, drawings, calculations, and reports.
  • Review, consolidate, and coordinate interdisciplinary vendor data and drawings reviews.
  • Manage and expedite vendors to ensure timely package delivery in accordance with scope and project schedule.
  • Liaise with vendors throughout the technical bid evaluation, clarification, and package execution phases.
  • Ensure project scope clarity and identify scope changes following project change management processes.
  • Participate in relevant meetings and adhere to required checking procedures.
  • Technically evaluate vendor equipment supply proposals.

Key Criteria:
  • An Australian-recognized electrical or electronics engineering degree.
  • Eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia.
  • Proven track record of delivering multiple instrumentation and control packages on major projects, across all phases, within the hydrocarbon or renewable energy industries.
  • Experience in rotating equipment package management, document review, and consolidation, including single and multi-stage centrifugal pumps, reciprocating and centrifugal compressors.
  • Familiarity with API standards for rotating equipment.
  • Excellent knowledge of discipline fundamentals, including Brownfields, Greenfields, equipment layout, and the ability to read and interpret drawings, including general mechanical, piping, and P&ID.
  • Understanding of piping and pipe supports and their interfaces with mechanical equipment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and discipline-specific software, including Navisworks, Bluebeam/Adobe Suite.
