Fortescue Metals Group has given the go-ahead to develop a new mine and rail project in the Pilbara. Eliwana, which will replace their depleting Firetail mine, is expected to operate at 30 million tonnes p/a with a capacity of up to 50mt p/a over a mine life of at least 24 years.
This project will utilise the latest technology, autonomous trucks, and design efficiency whilst redeploying existing assets.
