About the Role
We are seeking a Buyer to join a EPCM client of ours for a major Renewables Project. In this role you will assist with the end-end project procurement delivery for the procurement of engineered Equipment and Materials.

Responsibilities will include:

• Develop and issue tender packages, administer the tender process, and review tender submissions.
• Negotiate exceptions to terms and conditions and provide recommendations to the client.
• Draft purchase orders and raise SAP purchase requisitions.
• Ensure supplier and contractor documentation is received, reviewed, approved, and implemented or revised as necessary.
• Monitor and administer contractor and supplier performance throughout the execution of contracts.
• Approve invoices with proper supporting documentation and manage change negotiations.
• Handle and negotiate claims, maintain contract files, and close out contracts upon completion.
• Support expediting and material control through the delivery and receipt of equipment and materials at client facilities.
• Maintain regular interface with the client's team and fulfil weekly reporting obligations.

Key Criteria

• Degree qualified and/or CIPS qualified.
• A proven track record in administering procurement and contracts packages on major projects.
• Strong team participation and coordination skills.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Experience and knowledge of typical engineering deliverables.
• Familiarity with or eagerness to learn relevant project and procurement software systems such as SAP, JIRA, Aconex, ERM, and Requis.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
