About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Buyer to join a EPCM client for an exciting renewable fuels project. This role will involve procurement of equipment, materials, and third-party contract services while ensuring compliance with quality and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) considerations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee procurement of equipment, materials, and third-party services, ensuring quality compliance.
  • Develop and manage tender packages, evaluate submissions, and negotiate terms.
  • Draft recommendations and contracts/purchase orders, manage procurement data systems.
  • Ensure receipt, review, and implementation of all required documentation.
  • Work with various teams to ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Monitor contractor/supplier performance, approve invoices, negotiate changes, manage claims, and closeout contracts.
  • Assist with the delivery and receipting of equipment/materials.

Key Criteria:
  • Demonstrable commitment to HSE requirements in project environments.
  • University Degree in supply chain, law, business administration, quantity surveying/construction management, or related field.
  • MCIPS/RIQS accreditation is highly regarded.
  • Contracts and procurement experience in executing major projects within an EPCM/EPC organisation.
  • Proven experience in executing procurement strategies and negotiating terms and conditions.
  • Effective communication and ability to provide recommendations to project personnel.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, plan work, and accomplish varied tasks.
  • Strong understanding of relevant processes and tools.
  • Experience with project and procurement software systems (Aveva ERM, Requis, Aconex highly regarded).
