Role Opportunity
The Construction Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of construction works within the Underground Ventilation & Cooling Project. The role provides on-site leadership and oversight of all construction activities, ensuring works are executed in accordance with approved plans, schedules, budgets and standards
Benefits
- Critical involvement on a highly challenging project
- 18 month contract (possible Stage 2 extension)
- 8/6 FIFO Roster
- Excellent daily rate
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all on-site construction activities
- Oversee contractors and subcontractors, performance management
- Coordinate labour, equipment and materials to maintain construction schedule
- Monitor construction progress, identify risks, implement strategies to maintain project delivery
- Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement and project teams
- Maintain strong stakeholder engagement, including client, operations and site-based teams
Key Skills
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager within underground mining projects.
- Strong technical knowledge in underground mining construction, including ventilation, refrigeration, heavy piping and drilling infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, multidisciplinary construction teams in complex, high-risk environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in cost control and contract management.
- Highly effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills
