Our client is a leading player in the mining and energy industry, with a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation, who are currently seeking a Contracts Specialist to join the Owners Team for a major Lithium Mining Project. This role will provide you with an exciting opportunity to work on two major expansion projects and contribute to the company's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Senior Contracts Manager to manage all aspects of the contract lifecycle, from early procurement to project closeout.
- Develop and maintain contracts, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Engage in the purchasing of minor and major goods and services for the mining project.
- Utilise ERP systems to track and manage contracts and procurement activities.
- Work closely with the Owner and EPCM teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
Key Criteria
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Mining and Energy Projects sector.
- Proven experience in purchasing minor and major goods and services.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and their application in contract management.
- Prior experience working in Owner or EPCM teams is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
