The Position
Our client is experiencing rapid growth and diversification, creating an exciting opportunity for a Control Systems Engineer - Water Services to join their dynamic operations team. This newly created role is dedicated to supporting clients in the water industry, so experience within the water industry is essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing control systems for the water and wastewater industry.
- Translating customer requirements into engineering designs.
- Delivering projects on time and within budget, especially in fixed-price scenarios.
- Conducting site audits, estimating project costs, and crafting proposals.
- Conducting on-site commissioning.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in designing control systems for the water and wastewater industry.
- Must have full working rights in Australia (preferably Permanent Resident or Citizen).
- Experience with brownfield projects and a strong grasp of change management processes.
- Demonstrated ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into engineering designs.
- Experience in designing and commissioning field networks, encompassing Ethernet, Modbus, and Profibus/Profinet.
- Experience On-site commissioning.
Required technical skills:
- Experience with PLC systems including Siemens (TIA Portal & Step 7), Schneider (Eco structure), and experience with Omron would be desirable.
- Experience with SCADA systems including Wonderware, Citect, Geo SCADA (Clear SCADA), and Win CC HMI.
- Designing and commissioning field networks, including Ethernet, Modbus, and Profibus/Profinet.
