About the Role
As an Intermediate Cost Controller, you will be an integral part of our clients team on their sustaining capital mining projects. Your primary responsibilities will include facilitating earned value (EV) measurement and updates, managing the monthly progress claims process, ensuring comprehensive reporting on cost control information, monitoring project progress, and identifying potential issues related to budgets, schedules, and engineering standards. Additionally, you will provide support to the planner in updating project schedules and assist the Project Manager in project controls and reporting activities across your assigned projects.
  • Facilitate earned value (EV) measurement and updates.
  • Manage the monthly progress claims process.
  • Ensure comprehensive reporting on cost control information.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential problems regarding budgets, schedules, and engineering standards.
  • Support the Planner in updating project schedules.
  • Assist the Project Manager in project controls and reporting activities.

Key Criteria
  • Over 5 years of experience in project engineering, management, and project controls, with a track record of effective team leadership.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and the MS Office suite.
  • Familiarity with budget allocation, work breakdown structure (WBS), statement of work (SOW), and cost terminology.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the budget allocation process.
  • Proficiency in summarising and communicating complex data concisely and clearly.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • A solution-focused mindset and excellent communication abilities
