You will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to identify cost risks, conduct variance analysis, and ensure compliance with financial controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor project expenses against budgets and forecasts.
- Analyse cost trends, advising project management.
- Collaborate on project budgets with managers, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate cost forecasts throughout the project.
- Assess the impact of scope changes on costs and communicate findings.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual and forecasted costs.
- Prepare financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure financial data accuracy and compliance.
- Track contract commitments for accuracy and adherence.
- Perform periodic cost audits to uphold financial controls.
- Identify and mitigate cost risks and uncertainties.
Key Criteria:
- Prior experience in similar positions in Mining, Renewable or O&G sectors
- Chartered Accountant or CPA, or Engineering Degree or relevant years of experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an excellent eye for detail.
- Ability to deal with conflicting priorities in a busy environment.
- Pro-active team player.
