About the Role
As a Cost Control Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of a major renewable project. Your responsibilities will include monitoring project expenditures, analysing cost trends, developing budgets, and maintaining accurate cost forecasts throughout the project lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to identify cost risks, conduct variance analysis, and ensure compliance with financial controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor project expenses against budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyse cost trends, advising project management.
  • Collaborate on project budgets with managers, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate cost forecasts throughout the project.
  • Assess the impact of scope changes on costs and communicate findings.
  • Conduct variance analysis between actual and forecasted costs.
  • Prepare financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure financial data accuracy and compliance.
  • Track contract commitments for accuracy and adherence.
  • Perform periodic cost audits to uphold financial controls.
  • Identify and mitigate cost risks and uncertainties.

Key Criteria:
  • Prior experience in similar positions in Mining, Renewable or O&G sectors
  • Chartered Accountant or CPA, or Engineering Degree or relevant years of experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Ability to deal with conflicting priorities in a busy environment.
  • Pro-active team player.
