Design Manager - Major Roads & Highways
• Location: Brisbane, Queensland
• Roster: Monday to Friday (office-based with site engagement as required)

Role Opportunity
Join a highly regarded engineering consultancy at the forefront of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) projects across Queensland. As Design Manager, you will lead the multidisciplinary design process across major road and highway programs - overseeing technical coordination, design reviews, and delivery excellence from concept through to construction. You'll play a pivotal role in managing client expectations, mentoring design leads, and driving innovation across large-scale infrastructure projects.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor of Civil Engineering (RPEQ highly desirable)
• Demonstrated design management experience with TMR projects
• Expertise in road/highway design and coordination
• Strong leadership and multidisciplinary team management skills
• Proficiency with 12D.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Manage design teams delivering major road projects
• Oversee design review, documentation, and QA processes
• Coordinate with TMR, contractors, and internal stakeholders
• Drive innovation and technical quality in design solutions
• Support project delivery from tender to construction
