Senior Electrical & Controls Engineer
Role Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical & Controls Engineer to join our client's team on an initial 12-month contract, with potential to transition to permanent thereafter. Reporting to the General Manager, this role will see you designing, developing, and commissioning electrical and control systems for major mining and resources projects. The position is predominantly controls-focused, with a strong hands-on element and scope to lead and mentor others.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Control Systems, or related field
- 5+ years' relevant experience in industrial projects
- Strong PLC/SCADA background (Rockwell ControlLogix preferred, GE Proficy desirable)
- Exposure to electrical design across plant installations and expansions
- Experience in mining, minerals processing, or bulk materials handling environments
- CPEng accreditation or working towards it highly regarded
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver engineering design and commissioning across electrical and control systems
- Prepare specifications, test plans, technical documentation, and user manuals
- Develop PLC/SCADA software and configure supporting systems
- Perform FAT, site commissioning, and provide ongoing technical support
- Liaise with clients throughout project lifecycle and support proposals/estimations
- Supervise and mentor engineers while supporting project managers
