Electrical Engineer - Resources (Mining)
Monday to Friday
12 Month Contract (Likely Extension)
Start Date: ASAP
Perth CBD Based
$75 - 90 p/h Incl Sup

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Engineer to support a portfolio of brownfield sustaining capital projects across tier-one mining clients. Working within a well-established project delivery team, you will contribute to the successful execution of small to mid-large scale electrical scopes from design through to commissioning. This position is based in Perth CBD, with hybrid flexibility available once onboarding is complete.

Key Requirements
• 3-7 years post-graduate experience in Electrical Engineering, ideally within mining or heavy industrial sectors
• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution, meeting the Professional Engineer level under the national engineering body
• Proven experience delivering design and commissioning support across sustaining capital or brownfield mining projects
• Knowledge of HV design including single line diagrams, schematics, and general arrangements for substations and electrical rooms
• Exposure to programming and commissioning of electrical systems is advantageous
• Working knowledge of relevant Australian standards and electrical compliance requirements
• Strong communication and documentation skills with a proactive, detail-oriented approach
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment

Responsibilities
• Support electrical engineering scopes across multiple brownfield mining projects
• Develop and review key design deliverables including SLDs, schematics, technical specifications, and work packs
• Liaise with site teams, vendors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project objectives are met
• Assist in commissioning planning and execution activities across various project sites
• Ensure compliance with client standards, industry codes, and project safety requirements
• Contribute to technical reviews and site inspections as required
• Maintain accurate documentation in alignment with engineering and QA procedures
