This role suits an analyst or engineer with strong quantitative capability, advanced PLEXOS® modelling experience, and a genuine passion for Australia's energy transition. You'll work alongside industry experts, contribute to market-leading analysis, and support clients across renewable energy development, storage optimisation, and risk management strategy.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
• Minimum 3+ years' experience in electricity market modelling
• Strong quantitative capability and experience working with advanced risk analytics
• Proven proficiency with PLEXOS®, MS Excel and Python programming
• Experience developing or interpreting electricity spot price projections and supply-demand scenarios
• Ability to communicate complex modelling insights clearly to stakeholders

Desirable Skills
• Genuine interest in electricity markets, renewable energy, and financial market dynamics
• Confident interpersonal skills with the ability to engage senior management
• Tertiary background in engineering, finance, actuarial studies, commerce or similar
• Understanding of renewable energy hedging structures and investment modelling
• Experience delivering advisory work to commercial & industrial energy users

Duties & Responsibilities
• Develop electricity spot market projections using PLEXOS® across a range of supply-demand and behavioural scenarios
• Support renewable energy developers with quantitative analysis, hedging strategies, and investment optimisation
• Contribute to the design and modelling of energy contracts, risk frameworks, and long-term hedging structures
• Build and apply Python-based analytics to support market simulations and risk assessments
• Work directly with clients to translate modelling outputs into strategic commercial decisions
• Support large commercial and industrial customers with energy market risk management and procurement strategy
• Collaborate within a global technical community, sharing knowledge and enhancing modelling methodologies
