Role Opportunity
As an Employee Relations Representative, you will interpret and apply relevant federal and state employment legislation, provide guidance on project agreements, and support compliance. You'll work closely with supervisors, workforce personnel, and unions to manage industrial relations risks and support positive outcomes. You will also assist teams across training, payroll, and recruitment with agreement-related queries..

Essential Qualifications & Skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or IR
  • Proven success in employee relations on site-based projects.
  • Strong planning, prioritisation, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of employment relations, construction trades, and leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Support ER/IR functions on-site, including workforce communication and case management.
  • Audit subcontractor ER plans and internal timekeeping systems.
  • Assist with roster, leave management, and employment condition changes.
  • Provide advice and training on industrial agreements and compliance.
  • Respond to and manage industrial issues and incidents in line with dispute resolution processes.
  • Coordinate union right of entry visits and support related site activities.
  • Contribute to HSE initiatives, attend toolbox talks, and report or address safety concerns.
  • Prepare documentation for potential industrial disputes or legal matters.
  • Support workforce inductions and collaborate with HSE on site programs.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and health standards.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Workforce Services Supervisor.
