About the Role
Our client is seeking an Isolation and Permits Officer to join their team on a 2:1 roster to oversee the safety and compliance of construction works as part of the team delivering an exciting Iron Ore project here in WA. You will be responsible for the ongoing strategic planning, implementation and monitoring related to work permits and isolations to ensure work is conducted in line with safe work procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture.

You will be responsible for the ongoing strategic planning, implementation and monitoring related to work permits and isolations to ensure work is conducted in line with safe work procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Exemplify safe work practices and foster a positive safety culture.
- Plan, implement, and monitor permits and isolations on a daily basis.
- Supervise and coordinate activities related to daily work permits.
- Develop and authorize isolation strategies.
- Perform walkdowns and verification checks with the client to ensure compliance with all Isolation Procedures.
- Manage the implementation of isolations and ensure they are in place before activating a work permit.
- Ensure all jobs are conducted according to operating procedures and standards.
- Coordinate with site Construction and Engineering Leads to ensure efficient workflows.
Key Criteria
- Previous experience with an Electrical background desirable.
- Previous experience as a Permit Officer, Isolations Officer or similar for an Iron Ore site desirable.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge with Permit to Work and Isolation/Tagging systems and applicable legislation.
