Essential Qualifications & Skills
Some of the skills you will need to have to be successful for the Lead Designer role:
- TAFE Certification or relevant experience
- Expertise in 3D modelling with MicroStation, Inventor.
- Strong knowledge of SMP especially Mechanical.
- Understanding of engineering design standards
- Excellent collaboration and leadership skills
Duties & Responsibilities
Some of your responsibilities as a Lead Designer are:
- Design mechanical systems for materials handling
- Create and manage high-quality 3D models
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Lead design reviews and interface with teams
- Support project phases from design to commissioning
