Our client is seeking a Lead Electrical Designer for a major mineral sands project, ideally someone with proven expertise in navigating hazardous environments and practical experience with SPE Requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide design and drafting services meeting project requirements.
- Lead and manage the electrical design team to ensure timely, budget-friendly deliverables.
- Perform design tasks, oversee documentation, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Manage design projects, supervise assignments, maintain technical integrity, and report progress.
- Support scoping and budgeting, assist in hiring, and maintain effective communication.
Key Criteria:
- Advanced Diploma in Electrical Design.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in resource industries.
- Proven leadership in consulting environments.
- Familiarity with AVEVA 3D modelling, AutoCAD, Microstation, and lighting design software.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, PDF Exchange, and Bluebeam.
- Experience in selecting and designing electrical equipment and deliverables, including single-line diagrams, schematics, layouts, and diagrams.
