Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join a leading engineering services consultancy supporting brownfield and major capital projects across the mining and resources sector. This Perth-based role is a key technical leadership position focused on design delivery, team oversight, and engineering quality across HV/LV systems and electrical equipment.
You will lead a team of engineers and designers, manage electrical scopes on multi-disciplinary projects, and work closely with senior stakeholders across engineering, projects, and construction.

You will lead a team of engineers and designers, manage electrical scopes on multi-disciplinary projects, and work closely with senior stakeholders across engineering, projects, and construction.
Key Requirements
- Vast electrical design experience within the mining/resources sector
- Minimum 5 years in a senior or lead engineering position on multi-disciplinary projects
- Expertise in HV and LV electrical systems and equipment specification
- Exposure to power systems modelling and control/instrumentation design (desirable)
- Functional Safety knowledge/qualifications (desirable)
- Highly organised with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong technical checking, estimating, and reporting capabilities
- Relevant engineering qualifications and eligibility to work in Australia
Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design function across assigned projects
- Provide technical oversight and sign-off of discipline deliverables
- Manage resource allocation, capability development, and recruitment
- Oversee discipline budgeting, cost tracking, and progress reporting
- Contribute to estimating and application of estimating norms
- Drive continuous improvement of tools, systems, and engineering processes
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Senior Leadership
