Role Opportunity
Are you an experienced and driven Principal Consultant (Team Leader)? Are you looking to lead an environmental approvals team in Western Australia? This role is ideal for a professional with over 12 years' experience in environmental consulting, with a strong technical background in environmental approvals across both Commonwealth and WA State processes including primary and secondary approvals.
You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact projects across mining, Renewables, Land development, and Energy sectors. With proven project management capabilities, you'll manage complex approvals processes, liaise directly with clients and regulators, and mentor a growing team of skilled consultants.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
• Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in Commonwealth (EPBC Act) and WA State approvals (EP Act, Part IV and V).
Duties & Responsibilities
• Lead and manage a team of consultants.
• Foster team growth, collaboration, and accountability daily.
• Oversee major environmental approvals in Western Australia.
• Advise clients on regulatory risk and pathways.
• Guide strategy with strong environmental approvals knowledge.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and cross-functional project teams.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and regulators.
• Engage stakeholders through clear, consistent communication channels.
• Identify business development and team growth opportunities.
• Ensure technical excellence and regulatory compliance throughout.
• Mentor staff and build high-performing, engaged teams.
• Demonstrated success in client and stakeholder engagement.
