Job description

Lead Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

  • Brisbane, QLD
  • Office-based, Monday to Friday
  • Leadership role on major oil & gas projects
  • BEng in Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering, MIEAust, RPEQ preferred

Role Opportunity
Lead multidisciplinary instrumentation and control engineering for oil & gas and carbon capture pipeline projects. Oversee documentation, vendor packages, and junior engineers, while interfacing with clients and supporting project execution from FEED to commissioning.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
  • BEng in Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering
  • MIEAust membership (RPEQ preferred)
  • PLC, DCS, SCADA, RTU systems knowledge
  • SmartPlant, Bluebeam, and vendor tools

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead I&C design across project phases
  • Manage documentation and control systems
  • Oversee vendor reviews and commissioning
  • Mentor junior engineers and coordinate teams
  • Interface with clients and internal disciplines
