About the Role
Join a large-scale heavy haul rail renewals program, leading the delivery of feasibility-level engineering packages for a multi-national client. In this critical role, you will serve as the key interface, providing regular client updates on package delivery, reporting, and commercial management based on schedule and program adjustments.
Key Criteria
As the successful candidate for the role of Lead Project Engineer, you will meet the following criteria:
โข Demonstrated practical knowledge of rail construction
โข a strong background in rail, with a large focus in this sector
โข Having some hands-on site experience is highly valued, as it will allow you to bring practical rail construction knowledge to a Perth-based position
โข A combination of design and construction delivery experience on rail projects would be highly advantageous
โข Heavy haul rail experience would be beneficial
โข Experience within a heavy-haul brownfields rail environment will be an advantage
โข Strong communication and reporting skills with a keen eye for identifying key risks to program delivery
โข Practical, hands-on knowledge of rail construction and maintenance interventions within a constrained rail corridor
โข Strong technical knowledge of track and civil engineering with a demonstrated ability to challenge solutions for construction practicality within a brownfield's environment
โข Experience in risk assessment, management, and reporting, both internal and external to a client
โข Report on program status including P6 program updates, identify key program risks and manage change to drive required outcomes
โข Review technical documentation, drawings, technical specifications, and technical memos, to approved for construction status
