Their Australian business is dedicated to delivering high-quality projects across the country and are seeking a talented Lead Structural Designer to join their dynamic team in Brisbane.

Job Overview:
As the Lead Structural Designer, you will play a pivotal role in leading the structural design aspects of our projects.
You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and efficient structural solutions that meet our clients' needs and exceed their expectations.
This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects across various sectors, including infrastructure, mining, and resources.

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Lead the structural design team and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers.
• Take ownership of the structural design process from concept development to detailed design and construction documentation.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and integration of structural design with other disciplines.
• Perform structural analysis and calculations to verify the integrity and safety of designs.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and reports in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess construction progress and resolve design issues as they arise.

Skills & Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural design, preferably within the mining or resources sector.
• Ability to review and provide constructive feedback on vendor drawings and interdisciplinary design data.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in structural design software such as Spacegass, Microstran, Structural Toolkit, RAPT, Inducta, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office suite, BlueBeam.
• Strong knowledge of Australian design standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in mentoring and developing junior staff members.
