The company

Titan Recruitment has established a strategic partnership with an Australian mining and resources firm and is currently seeking a highly skilled CHPP Reliability Engineer. Our client is a specialized consultancy that focuses on the CHPP industry.

The role

The role will be situated at the Bengalla Mine site, with the closest town being Muswellbrook, just 15 minutes away. This opportunity may also be suitable for individuals residing in Newcastle who are willing to commute.

As the Reliability Engineer, your primary responsibilities will encompass the supervision of small to medium engineering projects and upgrades within the facility, as well as coordinating with infrastructure. The role will be predominantly be focused on client consultations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing small to medium mechanical engineering projects.
  • Conducting investigations into mechanical incidents.
  • Providing technical support for operational and maintenance teams during breakdowns.
  • Evaluating mechanical changes to the plant and assisting other teams in the process.
  • Contributing to the development of safety control measures for plant operations.
  • Offering mechanical engineering support during shutdown activities.
  • Performing analyses to improve operational performance, including downtime assessments and failure investigations.
  • Continuously monitoring and enhancing the performance of processing equipment.
  • Compiling reports on the operational and maintenance performance of the facility.
  • Supervising the management of condition monitoring processes within the facility.
  • Monitoring the operational performance of mobile equipment used in the processing facilities.
  • Undertaking any additional tasks as directed by management.


Requirements:

  • Preferred tertiary qualifications in mechanical, process, or electrical engineering.
  • Demonstrated expertise in minerals processing infrastructure operations and maintenance, with a focus on coal, metals, or bulk commodities.
  • A minimum of 3 years of postgraduate experience in a similar work environment.
  • Must possess full working rights in Australia, as sponsorship for this role is not available (Australian citizenship or Permanent Residency is preferred).
  • Desirable: Current Coal Board Medical certification.

Salary:

  • This role is available in both contract and permanent arrangements and is open to both senior and graduate engineers.

Senior Engineers (3+ years experience as a CHPP Reliability Engineer):

  • Permanent: $160,000 - $200,000 per annum (inclusive of super).
  • Contract: $90 - $110 per hour (inclusive of super).

Graduate Engineers:

  • Permanent: $100,000 per annum (inclusive of super).
  • Contract: $55 per hour (inclusive of super).

Benefits:

  • Excellent remuneration.
  • Travel allowance of $0.70 per kilometer travelled.
  • Accommodation provided (if required).
  • An overnight stay on-site includes a $60 accommodation allowance
