You will be involved in significant projects at some of Queensland's largest hospitals and healthcare centres.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain configure and support existing WiFi/LAN/WAN & Cloud Network environment.
- Initiate proactive measures and suggest enhancements to hospital infrastructure to adapt to evolving business requirements.
- Design, Build and Support the latest in networking technologies to support the wide variety of solutions for applications, staff and customers.
- Oversee the day-to-day activities involving testing, pre-production, and production platform support, critical incident management, system health checks, monitoring, change management, system upgrades, and maintenance for our networking platforms.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, acting as the last point of escalation within your field.
- Provide 2nd level support and troubleshooting of network, systems and application issues.
- Conduct effective administration of network equipment within Data Centre and hospital sites, encompassing WiFi infrastructure and third-party connections.
- Ensure that all networking infrastructure aligns with business requirements, addressing suitability, capacity planning, and compliance with licensing obligations.
About you:

Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience as a Network Engineer
- Must have CCNP (a CCIE would be highly desirable)
- Must have experience in configuring and supporting Cisco Routers and firewalls.
- Proven experience in monitoring, managing, and maintaining LAN / WAN, Wi-Fi and VPN networks.
- Experience with Firewall technologies such as Fortinet & Palo Alto.
- Experience in implementing and supporting wireless solutions.
- Experience with HP Aruba range of switches is advantageous.
- Experience with Juniper would also be desirable.
- Previous experience in the health care industry would be highly desirable.
- Must have full working rights - Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen preferred.
