Principal Electrical Engineer | High Voltage Specialist

• 1 - 2 days per week

• Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, RPEQ

Role Opportunity
Deliver HV substation and transmission designs across renewable projects. Provide grid connection expertise, lead modelling studies, and support technical negotiations. Reports to the Energy & Power Sector Lead.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
• 15+ years HV substation experience
• PowerFactory / ETAP / PSCAD proficiency
• Deep knowledge of NER & Australian Standards
• Renewable grid connection experience

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design HV substations and switchyards
• Conduct system studies (load flow, SC, etc.)
• Support R1/R2 testing and GPS submissions
• Review vendor submittals and FATs
• Mentor junior power systems engineers
