Principal Mechanical Engineer (Perth, CBD)
โข $130 p/hr - $ 140 p/hr Inc of super
โข Heavy focus on rotating equipment
โข Tier 1 major local renewable project
About the Role:
Great opportunity on offer to take on a leadership position working with a global Tier 1 consultancy on a prominent local renewables conversion project.
Seeking a highly experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer with significant previous experience working with rotating equipment from either the hydrocarbon or renewable energy sectors.
Duties:
โข Responsible for providing disciplines specific engineering services as well as encompassing technical support within the mechanical discipline.
โข Perform discipline specific engineering services such as prepare and review the production of mechanical package deliverables.
โข Manage and expedite vendors to deliver packages in accordance with scope of supply and the project schedule.
โข Ensure the project scope is clear and identify changes to the scope as required in line with project change management.
โข Proactively resolve any discrepancies between project stakeholders.
โข Communicate effectively within the discipline team, with clients and other project stakeholders.
Key Criteria:
โข Experience in rotating equipment package management including but not limited to;, multi-stage centrifugal pumps, reciprocating and centrifugal compressors and blowers.
โข Greenfield and Brownfield engineering experience, hydrocarbon or renewable projects highly regarded.
โข Pro-active, goal oriented and excellent attention to detail.
โข Highly effective people skills; communication, team management and the ability to mentor.
