About the Role

In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in ensuring the financial integrity of the projects through meticulous accounting practices and adherence to contractual obligations.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute Project Billing and revenue generation processes with precision.
  • Ensure strict compliance with contractual obligations related to invoicing.
  • Perform system-based functions for billing and invoicing activities.
  • Conduct weekend reviews of project Revenue Recognition.
  • Prepare accurate and timely draft and final invoices, credit notes, and associated documentation, aligning with contractual/client expectations.
  • Provide regular and ad hoc reporting and analytical support as needed.
  • Foster strong relationships with Project Managers, Cost Controllers, BSC staff, and Finance teams to facilitate efficient information exchange and processing.
  • Maintain meticulous records of Work in Progress reconciliations.
  • Ensure filing systems are up-to-date and maintain high levels of confidentiality.

Key Criteria:

  • Proven experience in project accounting within a related industry.
  • Recognised diploma, certificate, or equivalent qualification in accounts receivable, invoicing, finance, or accounting.
  • Proficiency in a large ERP environment, preferably Oracle R12, and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • In-depth understanding of accounts receivable processes.
  • Strong team orientation, exceptional organisational skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proactive, goal-oriented mindset with excellent customer focus and ability to adapt to changing work environments.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues, make timely decisions, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information effectively.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects of varying size and complexity within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and improve performance, aligned with the company's vision and values.
