The Project Controls Lead will play a crucial role in the successful execution of a major mining project. This hands-on position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project controls roles, particularly in leading small teams. The ideal candidate will have a background in the mining and EPCM environment and due to the hands-on nature of this role the ideal candidate will come with a mixed skillset in both cost and planning duties.

The Project Controls Lead will play a crucial role in the successful execution of a major mining project. This hands-on position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project controls roles, particularly in leading small teams. The ideal candidate will have a background in the mining and EPCM environment and due to the hands-on nature of this role the ideal candidate will come with a mixed skillset in both cost and planning duties.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Develop, revise, and communicate project control procedures.
- Supervise on-time delivery of Project Control Services.
- Monitor progress and identify issues related to budgets, schedules, and engineering standards.
- Contribute to building key strategic partnerships.
- Prepare essential project reports.
Key Criteria
- Extensive prior experience in similar Project Controls roles.
- Proven history of ability to lead small teams.
- Background in Mining and EPCM environment.
- Strong understanding of cost terminology, budget allocation, WBS, SOW and change management.
- High level communication skills, ability to build and manage key relationships.
- Strong understanding of financial and risk management principles.
- Multi skilled in both Cost and Planning.
