Our client is a major lithium mining company at the forefront of the industry, who's Major Projects Team is responsible for delivering some of the most significant and complex projects within the mining sector. Seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Controls Manager to lead a team of specialists and ensure the successful delivery of their major projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of cost, planning, and document control specialists.
- Oversee project controls for major projects exceeding $500 million.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Implement and manage processes for cost management, scheduling, risk management, and document control.
- Work across various delivery models, including direct contracts, EPC, and EPCM.
- Ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and cost tracking, preferably using GTS software CMS.
- Utilize Primavera P6, Deltek Acumen Fuse, and Teambinder (InEight) for planning and risk management.
- Review and mentor a team of 5+ specialists.
- Participate in estimating and project delivery reviews.
Key Criteria
- 15+ years in project controls, including 2-5 years in owner-side roles on $500M+ projects.
- Skilled in various delivery models: owners direct contract, EPC, and EPCM.
- Expertise in cost systems; GTS software CMS experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Primavera P6, Deltek Acumen Fuse, and Teambinder (InEight).
- Proven leader of project controls teams (5+ members).
- Solid understanding of major project estimating techniques and reviews.
