About the Role:
Are you a skilled engineer with a knack for project coordination and a commitment to excellence? We're seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our client's team in the South-West Peel region. In this role, you'll bridge the gap between Project Managers and Engineers, ensuring seamless execution of project plans and technical activities in alignment with the client's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Uphold and advocate for health and safety standards, ensuring HSE requirements are integral to design and procurement processes.
  • Assemble and lead project teams, driving them towards achieving scope, schedule, productivity, and budget goals.
  • Keep team members informed about project status, key performance indicators, and ensure timely and quality completion of assignments.
  • Implement client approved systems, processes, and tools for technical project coordination. Ensure compliance with customer Basis of Design and relevant codes and regulations.
  • Apply engineering expertise to oversee project tasks, manage cost and schedule, and ensure accurate forecasting and trend analysis.
  • Enforce proper change control processes, translating contract requirements into client scope of services and deliverables.
  • Maintain open communication with stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment and building strong relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Identify and mitigate potential technical risks, developing effective contingency and resolution plans.

About You:
  • Tertiary Qualification within Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully mentoring engineering teams in a similar environment.
  • Experience successfully operating within mining and Oil & Gas projects for minimum 5 years.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health and safety management.
  • Proficient in project control requirements, cost tracking, and schedule management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
