Project Engineer - Mechanical
This opportunity offers the chance to join a leading engineering and manufacturing business delivering complex engineered solutions across offshore and subsea industries. Based predominantly in Henderson and occasionally Malaga, you will play a key role in preparing competitive proposals and managing projects from award through to execution and close-out.

This role suits a Mechanical Project Engineer with strong commercial acumen, proposal experience, and the ability to manage manufacturing or engineered product projects within demanding timeframes. You will act as the key interface between internal departments, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5+ years' experience in proposal preparation, project management, and manufacturing environments
• Strong commercial awareness with experience negotiating contracts and variations
• Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Experience producing high-quality technical and commercial proposal documents
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects within demanding timeframes
• Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Working knowledge of CAD/CAM software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Skills
• Experience within offshore, subsea, or oil & gas industries
• International project exposure and cultural awareness
• Experience managing factory acceptance testing (FAT) and pre-qualification testing
• Exposure to ERP and CRM systems for project and cost control
• Ability to travel internationally where required

Duties & Responsibilities
• Review RFQs and fully understand client technical and commercial requirements
• Identify risks (technical and commercial) and develop mitigation strategies
• Liaise with engineering and internal departments to compile cost-effective solutions
• Prepare detailed cost estimates in line with company margin and costing policies
• Develop preliminary schedules, technical specifications, and supporting documentation
• Submit proposals for management review and maintain communication with Business Development stakeholders
