Project Engineer Construction & Commissioning - DIDO
This opportunity offers the chance to join a leading Western Australian agribusiness organisation supporting a major regional infrastructure upgrade as part of a long-term grain supply chain expansion program.
You will play a key role delivering construction and commissioning activities for a large-scale grain receival site upgrade in the Wheatbelt. The project includes new grain silos, rail out-loading infrastructure, conveyor upgrades, and associated civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical works to enable direct train loading.
This role suits an experienced Project Engineer with construction and commissioning experience who enjoys working on regional infrastructure projects and coordinating multi-discipline contractors in a site-based environment.
Benefits
• Contract role offering circa $100 p/h + super
• Initial 6-month contract with potential extension depending on project progress
• Site-based role in the Wheatbelt (Wongan Hills region) 5/2 Roster or similar

Essential Qualifications & Skills
• Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or relevant trade background with strong project delivery experience
• Proven experience as a Project Engineer on construction or infrastructure projects
• Experience managing site construction and commissioning activities
• Exposure to multi-discipline projects (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical)
• Strong contractor coordination and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work site-based in a regional environment
• Strong understanding of safety systems and construction risk management
Desirable Skills
• Experience delivering materials handling, bulk handling, or industrial infrastructure projects
• Background in SMP (Structural / Mechanical / Piping) or Electrical construction projects
• Experience with commissioning of mechanical or electrical infrastructure
• Previous work on grain handling, rail, mining, or processing facilities
• Experience working on regional or remote construction projects
Duties & Responsibilities
• Coordinate construction and commissioning activities for grain receival site upgrades
• Manage contractors across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and infrastructure scopes
• Ensure project works are delivered in accordance with schedule, safety, and quality requirements
• Support site construction planning and work execution
• Oversee installation and commissioning of grain handling infrastructure, conveyors, and rail out-loading facilities
• Coordinate site logistics, access, and contractor mobilisation
• Monitor project progress and report on schedule, risks, and construction milestones
• Support resolution of technical and construction issues during execution
• Ensure compliance with site safety procedures and project standards
• Work closely with project management and site stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
