About the Role

Join a team in Perth for an initial six-month contract that includes occasional site travel and a car. A client-facing individual supporting the construction crew on the job site. Participate in a major initiative that will see their facilities swiftly expanded in order to produce more.

Key Criteria

As the successful candidate for the role of QA/QC Coordinator, you will meet the following criteria;

• Review supplier and Contractor MDRs and IOMs and ensure they are in line with project requirements.
• Review Contractor ITPs, test registers and quality records to ensure all project quality requirements.
• Ensure accuracy of as-built annotations drawings and engineering deliverables
• Ensure all construction QA/QC records are adequately managed by Contractors, collated and handed over as part of MDRs
• Report to the Technical Principal and PMs on all project quality matters
• Report issues to Project Managers and Technical Principal for resolution
• Liaise with internal project team and engineering department.
• Contractor liaison on all quality matters
• Carry out Contractor quality system audits as required.
• Assist with quality aspects of tender evaluations for construction works
• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical or civil engineering, or a related field
• Internal or lead auditor/assessor to ISO 9001 qualification (highly desirable)
• Proven experience in a similar quality assurance role within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of civil, structural, mechanical and electrical construction of materials handling plants
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as AS, IEC, NEC, ISA, and relevant codes
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Relevant certifications, such as Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), are a plus.
• Knowledge and solid understanding of ISO 9001:2015 requirements
• Proficient skills in the following software: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and Adobe/Bluebeam Revu
